En realidad, la red era bastante grande, y por ejemplo muchas ciudades europeas se usaban como escala para llegar a otros destinos : Vitoria / Santiago -Lisboa, Londres-Bruselas, Las Palmas - Moscú (!), que además era una operación quincenal (!!) aunque en estos tramos no había derechos de tráfico...

A Cubana 1997 timetable and their international destinations map. There are some interesting destinations, such as Vitoria and Santiago in Spain. I didn't remember that Cubana ever flew to Santiago...
They had actually a pretty extensive network, covering many European cities, even if the choice of destinations was somewhat unusual. Some European points where used as an intermediate stop and thus Cubana flew with no traffic rights Vitoria/santiago - Lisbon, London-Brussles or Las Palmas - Moscow (!), fortnightly (!!)
The IL62 and a DC10 (rented from a French carrier, if I recall it correctly) were used on European routes. The fleet now comprises much more modern aircraft such as the IL96, the A320 and the TU204, but their global network is much smaller now.
