Lesotho Airways (1996)

Lesotho Airways era la aerolínea estatal de este pequeño país africano. Volaba una serie de vuelos domésticos y unos cuantos vuelos internacionales a los países vecinos (aunque llegó a operar un 707 que volaba a las islas Seychelles)
A finales de 1996 la empresa tuvo que cancelar todos sus vuelos internacionales, debido a no ser capaz de satisfacer las condiciones mínimas de seguridad, y cerró en 1997.
Como se puede ver en este mapa de rutas de 1991, operaba bastantes vuelos domésticos. Con la pérdida de su línea aérea nacional, tristemente esta es la única forma de desplazarse por aire en el país actualmente...

 Lesotho Airways was the state-owned airline of this small African country. They had a pretty extensive domestic network and some international destinations to neighbouring countries. (At some point they had a 707 flight to the Seychelles, though) 

By the end of 1996 the airline had to suspend all international flights becasue it was not able to meet international safety regulations, and it ceased operations in 1997.

As you can see in their 1991 route map, they had a large number of domestic destinations. It is just sad that once the state airline is gone, this is just the only available means of air transport in the country.
