Luxair (2011)

Luxair es otra de las empresas europeas que sigue publicando un horario impreso. Es un folleto bastante extenso, muy bien editado, que incluye fotos e información turística de los destinos que sirve.Es otra empresa que orbita en torno a Lufthansa, que tiene parte de las acciones de la aerolínea.

Aunque llegaron a operar un vuelo a Nueva York en el pasado, la red de Luxair es netamente europea y es una mezcla de destinos de negocios (por el interés político y financiero de su capital) y de vuelos a destinos turísticos en el Mediterráneo por cuenta de Luxair Tours aunque se pueden comprar billetes de sólo vuelo. Lógicamente, la mayor parte de sus vuelos parten de Luxemburgo, pero tienen también una actividad importante en el aeropuerto de Saarbrücken, en el sur de Alemania.

Luxair, Luxembourg airlines, is another European carrier that is still publishing printed timetables. This is a rather bulky, glossy brochure that includes many photos and touristic information about the destinations in their route network. Lufthansa has a share on this airline and thus Luxair is well aligned with the German airline.

Luxair had a flight to New York in the past, but they had flown European destinations only for the most part of its existence. Traditionally, Luxair serves an array of business destinations around Europe (which are well travelled routes by politicians and businessmen) and also holiday destinations in the Mediterranean, flown by Luxair on behalf of their subsidiary Luxair Tours. Most of their flights depart from Luxembourg, but they also have a focus city at Saarbrücken in southern Germany.
