Aer Lingus routemap has not changed much in the last decades, if we forget some exotic moves such as the longhaul services to Dubai they started (and ended soon) some years ago. Aer Lingus has a strong niche in the UK-Ireland routes, a flagship intercontinental service to the USA (often via Shannon) and a quite weak presence in continental Europe. Aer Lingus maintained its domestic network in the early 80's and a sort of mini hub in Lourdes to reach some destinations in southern Europe, such as Barcelona. This was a winter timetable, so many destinations in mainland Europe (including Madrid and Barcelona) had no service during the cold months.
