A few years into the first decade of the 21th century, British Airways sold its German airline Deutsche BA, which rebranded itself with a new identity and a new name, DBA. The newly reborn airline got hold on a majority stake of the shares of its rival airline ✈Gexx (Germania Express) and which a network structure centered on the German domestic market, it aimed at becoming Germany third largest airline after Lufthansa and Air Berlin.
