Aviateca (1993)

Horarios de Aviateca, la línea aérea de Guatemala, hoy integrada en el grupo TACA que opera con su identidad corportativa.
Volaban con 737-200 y -300 una red de rutas que no se diferenciaba mucho de la de otras compañías de la región: básicamente, servían los países vecinos de Centroamérica y algunos destinos en los EEUU, incluyendo Los Ángeles y Chicago, además de un destino doméstico (Flores). Por alguna razón, el vuelo a Chicago, con un 737-300 y con escalas en varias capitales centroamericanas, aparece desglosado en varios vuelos "sin escalas" ... Una maniobra de marketing un poco burda, en mi opinión.

Aviateca was the Guatemalan national carrier, now is a member of the grupo TACA and flies with their current corporate identity.
Aviateca used Boeing 737-200 and -300 equipement, and their route network was pretty much the same like other carriers in the region: they basically flew to the neighbouring countries and the USA (they even flew to Los Angeles and Chicago) and they also had one domestic destination (Flores). They had a multi-stop flight that linked Chicago with several Central American capital cities, that for some reason appears listed as multiple "nonstop" flights. Now, I understand that this is a marketing move, albeit not a very smart one, IMHO.


Siempre me gustaron y me parecieron bastante elegantes su logo y su librea, antes de integrarse en TACA...
 I always liked their former logo and livery, they were quite smart ...
