Iberia had a minor share in this Chilean airline and Ladeco was an Iberia Group member in the nineties. I am actually not sure wheter this later statement was already true in 1991 or not , but it certainly was a bit later, in 1992.
Anyhow, there never was a good understanding between Iberia and other Ladeco owners, and finally the Spanish airline sold its shares in 1997; Ladeco became under ✈LAN Chile control, and it eventually changed its name into LAN Express before being completely deprived of a name or
identity of its own and being shut down.
Bonus track: Tarjeta con mapa de destinos y la presentación del Boeing 757 que era entonces el orgullo y la alegría de la flota de Ladeco.
Single card showing a destination map on one side and featuring the Ladeco newly introduced flagship at the time, the 757, which was used on flights between Chile and the US.
