Las dos primeras, por el logo, son de los años 60. Estéticamente no me gustan mucho, y el contenido menos (insisten en los tópicos más rancios asociados con España, en parte porque Iberia era, aparte de aerolínea estatal, un arma de proyección exterior del régimen). En la segunda se puede ver además como ilustran la postal con un DC8, que seguramente era la joya de la corona en ese momento. Junto con la promoción de España, otra constante en la publicidad de Iberia ha sido anunciar el avión más moderno en cada momento, de hecho lo siguen haciendo ahora con el A340.
La última es más moderna, con una estética un poco más interesante, y con el logo actual aunque me inclino a pensar que es como muy tarde de principios de los 80, porque más tarde la imagen corporativa empezó a alejarse un poco de estos tópicos tan repetitivos.
A Spanish publishing company is selling postcards with vintage Iberia advertisement posters on them. For anyone interested in advertising and/or aviation, I think they are worth buying, since you can get them for a few cents each. So far I got three of them.
Looking at the logos, I can tell the first two ones are from the 60's. Now, I don't really appreciate the kitschy art on them, mostly because they insist on the well known clichés usually associated with Spain: Andalusia, Flamenco and bullfighting ¬¬ Moreover, as a state carrier, Iberia was a marketing device for Franco's regime abroad, thus it was its "mission" (albeit a secondary one) to promote these clichés to the travelling public. The second one is more interesting for the airline enthusiast since it shows a DC8, the most modern aircraft in their fleet at the time. Other than promoting Spain in its adverts, Iberia has always had an habit of portraying their best airliners on their marketing posters. Nowadays they continue to do so with the A340.
The last one was edited more recently, as it already uses the current logo. I think, however, that it has been issued in the late 80's at most, because since them Iberia's marketing strategy has slightly changed and they do not insist on this "Spain" theme so much any more.
