Regional Airlines (1995)

Aunque finalmente acabó enganchada en la órbita de Air France, hubo un tiempo en el que la predecesora de la regional HOP! colaboraba estrechamente con Iberia; era parte del programa de viajeros frecuentes de la compañía española, encamimanaba tráfico europeo hacia los vuelos intercontinentales desde Madrid y ambas compartían códigos en muchos de sus vuelos.

La relación de la aerolínea francesa con España era tanta, que hasta llegaron a establecer una filial (Regional Líneas Aéreas) que volaba entre Porto y Madrid y continuaba a Lyon con un Saab 340.

Even if the predecessor of the regional carrier HOP! finally ended orbiting around Air France, there was a time when Regional Airlines worked closely with Iberia; It was part of the frequent flyer program of the Spanish company, it feeded European traffic to Iberia intercontinental flights from Madrid and both airlines  were sharing codes in many flights.

The relationship  of the French airline with Spain was such that it even came to establish a subsidiary  which flew  between Porto and Madrid and then to Lyon, using a Saab 340.
