British Airways (2003), Gibraltar & Southern Spain

Estos vuelos en realidad los operaba GB Airways, que por entonces era una franquicia de British Airways.

GB Airways / British Airways (1988)

Un folleto de 1988 con las operaciones de GB Airways entre Londres y Gibraltar; en esa época British Airways todavía servía esta ruta y también aparecen sus vuelos. Aparecen otras rutas de la empresa, como el vuelo intercontinental a Tánger y los vuelos a Madeira.

In 1988 British Airways was still flying to Gibraltar: this leaflet shows both GB airways and BA flights, plus other GB Airways routes such as the intercontinental run to Tangier and the Madeira flights. 

GB Airways (1990)

GB Airways (Gibraltar Airways) tenía la sede en Gatwick, pero era la línea que unía principalmente Gibraltar con Londres y Tánger, aunque tuvo también una red de vuelos a otros destinos en España y por el Mediterráneo. Si no recuerdo mal, el vuelo entre Gibraltar y Tánger es la ruta intercontinental más corta del mundo.
Estuvo asociada siempre de alguna manera a British Airways (y antes a BEA) hasta que en 1995 pasó a ser una franquicia de BA y más tarde fue adquirida por Easyjet.

Hubo planes para crear una compañía de bajo coste con sede en Gibraltar, Fly Gibraltar, pero la aerolínea nunca llegó a volar.

GB Airways (formerly Gibraltar Airways), whilst headquartered at Gatwick, was focused chiefly on the routes from Gibraltar to London and Tanger (this being the shortest intercontinental flight, IIRC !) The airline also flew to other destinations in Spain and to random destinations through the Mediterranean.

GB airways has had some kind of link with British Airways through its history, and with BEA before of that, but it became a proper BA franchise operator only in 1995. The airline was later bought by Easyjet.

There were proposed plans to start a low cost carrier at Gibraltar, Fly Gibraltar, but the airline never took of.
