En 1988, Virgin Atlantic era una pequeña empresa británica que intentaba competir ferozmente con British Airways volando a Miami, Nueva York y dos destinos europeos (Maastricht y Dublin, este con Vickers Viscount)

Back in 1988, Virgin Atlantic was a small, almost unknown British small airline which was struggling against British Airways with a very limited network which served Miami, New York and two European destinations (Maastricht and Dublin, this one being served with Vickers Viscount aircraft)

This is their current route map, with Virgin Atlantic serving 30 destinations aroung the world, it is just one of the airlines Richard Branson owns. (The other ones are V Australia, Virgin Blue, Virgin America, and the now defunct airlines Virgin Express, Virgin Nigeria -currently rebranded as  Air Nigeria - and the  charter airline  Virgin Sun). There are even plans for a future Virgin Galactic...
