LTE (LTU España) era una filial de la compañía charter alemana LTU que operaba con base en Palma de Mallorca, con menores costes que la empresa matriz. Fue creada en 1987, en pleno boom del charter español, y hasta 2001 voló fundamentalmente vuelos para la empresa base; Luego fue adquirida por el grupo Volare italiano y durante un tiempo operó con el nombre Volar Airlines. Tuvo un breve periodo posterior en el que recuperó el nombre LTE y realizó vuelos regulares, fundamentalmente entre España e Italia.
LTE (LTU España) was created in 1987 by German carrier LTU as their Spanish branch. It was based at Palma de Mallorca and it had lower operating costs than the parent company. Until 2001, it mostly flew flights on behalf of LTU. It was bought by the Italian Volare group and was renamed as Volar Airlines; later, it was renamed again LTE and flew scheduled flights (mostly between Spain and Italy)
Mientras fue parte de LTU, su flota estaba compuesta por Boeing 757. Inicialmente estaban pintados con una
librea azul, pero pronto adoptaron un
esquema rojo similar al de LTU.
LTE flew Boeing 757 planes while it still was part of the LTU group. They were painted in a blue livery at first, but later they were repainted in the same red scheme used by the German airline.
Más tarde, la empresa utilizó el Airbus A320. Esta tarjeta es bastante sorprendente porque el logo aparece en azul (que yo sepa, no tuvieron ningún A320 con esa librea) y sobre todo porque el esquema de cabina es de un 747. Parece mentira que esta tarjeta se haya llegado a distribuir alguna vez ...
The airline switched later to an Airbus A320 fleet. This is a rather inusual safety card. On the one hand, it shows a blue logo (I am almost sure that the blue livery was never applied to their A320) and, on the other hand, and more important, because the cabin plan in the rear shows a Boeing 747 instead of an A320.
