Philippine Airlines (1995), European edition

Actualmente, sólo queda una aerolínea, KLM que vuela entre Europa y Filipinas, y todo parece indicar que no lo hará por mucho tiempo. En 1995, Philippine Airlines todavía tenía vuelos a Europa (Londres, París y Frankfurt) y ofrecía conexiones a Australia, Hong Kong  y otros destinos de su red.

KLM is the only European airline that is still flying to the Philippines, and it seems it will end flying there directly soon. In 1995, Philippine Airlines was still flying to several European destinations (London,Paris and Rome) and was offering onward connections to Hong Kong, Australia and other cities in its network.

Philippine Airlines siempre me ha llamado la atención. A pesar de los lazos históricos, nunca ha usado el español en sus publicaciones que yo sepa, ni tampoco ha tenido mucha presencia en España (aunque creo que tuvo unos vuelos a Madrid a finales de los 80 y principios de los 90). Siempre es interesante comparar los mapas de rutas con los que publiqué de 1987 hace poco.

Philippine Airlines has always stroke me as an obscure, exotic carrier. Despite the historic ties, the airline has never used Spanish on their publications as far as I am aware of, and has never had a strong presence in the Spanish market (despite some flights to Madrid in the late 80's / early 90's, IIRC) It is always interesting to compare the current route maps and the previous ones, like these 1987 Philippine Airlines maps I published recently.
