KLM uk (1998)

Air UK mantuvo por un breve tiempo el nombre KLM uk antes de que se integrara en KLM Cityhopper (y parte de sus operaciones pasaran a la low cost Buzz) Este horario incluye muchos vuelos operados por otras asociadas a KLM en el momento, como KLM exel, Braathens o Alitalia.

Air UK flew for a short time using the KLM uk name, before it adopted the KLM Cityhopper identity (some of its flights were flown as the Buzz low cost carrier) This timetable included many flights operated by other KLM partners at the time , such as KLM exel, Braathens or Alitalia.

KLM / Air UK (1997/1998)

Un folleto bastante simple y austero, pero muy interesante, de Air UK cuando estaba en una etapa de transición antes de integrarse en KLM.

Air UK era una empresa regional britanica que volaba con Fokker 100, 27 y 50 entre otros, vuelos domesticos y europeos, y que tenia una larga historia de relación con KLM.

Como ya vimos en otro post, KLM intentaba crear una serie de compañías regionales en Europa con su marca que alimentaran su hub de Amsterdam. Más tarde, Air UK pasó a ser KLM uk. En este horario se ve como la empresa se estaba integrando con otras empresas del grupo (Cityhopper, Air Engiadina ) a la vez que tenía códigos compartidos con otras empresas británicas como Gill Airways.

Unos años más tarde, KLM pasó muchos vuelos de KLM uk (Air UK) a la efímera compañía de bajo coste Buzz y lo poco que quedaba de Air UK pasó a integrarse dentro de la filial regional Cityhopper.

An interesting, yet austere joint KLM / Air UK timetable.

Air UK was a British regional carrier, which flew domestic and European flights with a fleet of Fokker 100, 27 and 50 among other planes, and which had a long standing link with KLM.

KLM, on the other hand, was busy building a network of feeder regional carriers to their Amsterdam hub, as seen in a previous post. This timetable was issued shortly after KLM remained as the only owner of Air UK, which was later rebranded as KLM uk.The airline had strong ties with other carriers in the KLM group (Cityhopper, Air Engiadina ) as well as codeshares with other British airlines such as Gill Airways.

KLM uk led nevertheless a short life, for most of their flights were some years later operated by Buzz, a short-lived low cost carrier set by KLM at Stansted. The very little that still remained of Air UK was then merged into KLM's regional branch Cityhopper, and thus the airline ceased to exist definitely.
