Varsity Express (2010)

There are many airlines that had a short life, but Varsity Express surely beats them all: it barely lasted for a week. It actually never flew all the routes shown in this sheet, its only route ever was Oxford - Edinburgh.

TAP Air Portugal (1987)

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, the Portuguese carrier TAP had a network of regional domestic flights with aircraft operated by its partially owned airline LAR (Ligações Aéreas Regionais), a company which was founded following a previous one called TAP Regional. Later TAP increased its participation, added new aircraft to the fleet and the company, which flew for some time to various destinations in Spain, was renamed as LAR Transregional.

In any case, this is the only TAP brochure I have available that also includes LAR's domestic flights to little-known airports in Portugal such as Bragança, Chaves, Viseu or Covilhã.

Copenhagen Air Taxi (2012)

This is the kind of smallish, almost unkonwn airline I love to blog about from time to time. I had not even heard of this little airline until some weeks ago. As their name suggests, they are basically an air taxi operator, but they also had a scheduled flight from Copenhagen-Roskilde airport to the Danish islands of Anholt and  Læsø. Roskilde is primarly an executive airport and CAT is the only scheduled carrier there.

Baltic International (1995)

Baltic International was another short-lived airline based at Riga airport. It flew to a handful of European destinations and as it was common practice back then, it published several pages of possible connections. Most of them were quite interesting to say the least, such as the Madrid routing via London on a Viva Air aircraft.
