En todo caso, a principios de los 90 se reinventó a sí misma como "Sabena World Airways", con el propósito de crear de la mano de British Airways una plataforma transcontinental en Bruselas. El aeropuerto vivía entonces tiempos bastante más interesantes que los actuales, no solo con la red de Sabena si no también con la presencia de visitantes como por ejemplo los DC-8 de LAP a Asunción...

Anyhow, in the early 90's British Airways and KLM had large shares of the Belgian flagcarrier and it rebranded itself as "Sabena World Airways", which was trying to build a global hub from its Brussels base. The airport itself was living far more interesting times, not only because of the large Sabena network, but also because of some interesting foreing visitors, such as the Paraguayan LAP DC-8 from Asuncion...
