As you all may know, Air Europa introduced yesterday its brand new corporate identity, with a revised, updated version of their old logo and a new livery which is basic another Eurowhite scheme with a blue tail. Certainly not an impressing milestone in contemporary design, but I actually like this new logo much better than the previous one.
During the Summer 2000 season, Air Europa rolled out their second logo in its history, the blue and red sign which was used until yesterday. This timetable proudly introduces their former livery, comparing it with other well known international carriers.
15 years have passed since then, and many things in this brochure just seem from another planet, such as the odd, cumbersome mobile services on prehistoric cell phones or its FF scheme, using a supermarket chain costumer rewards program. Air Europa was far away from becoming an international alliance member, and it barely had some code share agreements with TAP Air Portugal and also with an ailing at the time ✈TWA.
