Malaysia Airlines was using the MAS name in the 80's. This is another airline that developed a fast international growth in just 10 years; just compare this timetable with the 1993 international network. In the early 80's they were flying to Tokyo via Taipei but not to Beijing (at the same time there were no CAAC flights to Malaysia), and I am not sure wheter there was a political reason behind this or not.
Thanks for uploading this 1983 Malaysia Airlines timetable! I had a copy of it all those years ago, and so it's nice to find it on the internet 36 years later!
