A simple brochure introducing the newest Iberia child, Iberia Express , which took off precisely two years ago. There was (and still is) quite a bit of controversy sorrounding this Iberia subsidiary which was created to operate domestic and some European routes at lower operating costs. From a passenger point of view, they would also operate as low fares flights.
This is certainly not a new concept: European airlines are trying new formulas to keep costs on their European networks low while still feeding their hubs, gaining profit from longhaul flights. Iberia itself tried the same strategy before with ✈Clickair or even ✈Viva Air, and its European rivals are using similar approaches such as Hop! by Air France or Germanwings by Lufthansa.
