Aunque a nadie se le escapa que buena parte de su éxito se debe al acuerdo de franquicia firmado con Iberia pocos años después de empezar a operar, lo cierto es que Air Nostrum se hizo pronto un buen nombre gracias a la fama que le dio la calidad de su servicio.
Hoy en día , aparte de volar como Iberia Regional, también opera vuelos para Binter Canarias, es transportista habitual de muchos equipos de fútbol, y también intentó (de momento, sin resultados) repetir su modelo de aviación regional franquiciada para una empresa más grande en Sudamérica.

There have been many attempts at regional aviation in Spain, and most of them have ended badly and in a very short time. Air Nostrum is undoubtedly the real success story among Spanish airlines of this kind. This is the first schedule published by Air Nostrum in December 1994. The route network was clearly oriented around the main cities in the Spanish Mediterranean coast and AIr Nostrum fleet was composed of Fokker 50 planes on a single class configuration, named "Regional Business Class" at the time.
It is no secret that the franchise agreement signed with Iberia just a few years after it started operations played a big role in the carrier success history. Nevertheless, Air Nostrum had a great reputation for the quality of its inflight service by then.
Nowadays, besides the Iberia Regional core business, Air Nostrum , also operates flights for Binter Canarias, flies many football teams charter fligts , and also tried (at the moment, without results) to replicate its business model (regional aviation under franchise agreements for larger airlines) in South America.
